Team Rescue Tails benefitting AWLA (Arlington)
Team Rescue Tails was started in 2014 as a charity racing and fundraising team for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (“AWLA”). Rescue Tails hit the ground running to help AWLA celebrate its 70th year of saving animals’ lives in Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC area.
Rescue Tails athletes are runners, triathletes, cyclists, and other athletes who want to combine their love for animals with their passion for racing. Through their fundraising efforts, Team Rescue Tails supports AWLA’s mission to improve the lives of animals and create a world where all companion animals can find compassionate and permanent homes.
This 70th anniversary of AWLA in 2014 is a ground-breaking year for Team Rescue Tails, as the Team becomes the first year-round, multi-sport animal shelter charity race team in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC metropolitan area. We have even bigger plans for 2015, including: securing guaranteed charity entries for popular sold-out races; increasing sponsorship opportunities; and expanding Team member benefits.
Please join us and become one of the inaugural members of this exciting new Team to help save animals’ lives.
Rescue Tails athletes can participate in any race(s) of their choice (any distance, event, city, state, country, etc.). Each athlete commits to raising a minimum of $250 within one (1) year of signing the Athlete Agreement. Incentive prizes will be awarded for various fundraising achievements.
